I went in for a septum piercing on Sunday afternoon, when she was getting the tools lined up she asked me if it’s in the right spot, and I said I don’t know, it’s hard to tell with these tools. When she pierced it it hurt everytime I touched my nose, and it started bleeding everytime I ate or flexed my nostrils, so this morning I went to Victor Tattoo shop in my hometown, and they said it’s too high and she went through cartilage, that’s why it’s bleeding so much. And didn’t put int the right size jewellery. I’ll be going back to Victor tattoo to get it re-pierced because they are properly trained.

Went to Skinkandy today, since it’s school holidays it was super busy, but the staff were still really friendly and helpful. They greeted us straight away, got us booked in, and gave us pricing and consent forms while we waited. Hayley served us and was really lovely. Super polite and accommodating/ squeezed me and my friend in for our piercings and made us feel comfortable the whole time. We’re so happy with how they turned out. Definitely worth the wait, and we’ll 100% be back for more piercings.

Don’t get me wrong- the staff at this location are all lovely, however most of the times I visit to look for jewellery there is never a member of staff to attend to customers. I understand sometimes there might only be one staff member at the store and they may be piercing someone- however there have been many times I have waited for some assistance or to purchase something and I end up leaving due to the wait. It’s often myself and many other people filling up and awkwardly waiting in the store for a worker well over ten minutes. Maybe more employees should be rostered on to help other customers. Aside from this everything else is fine in terms of staff attitude and products. Sometimes I just don’t have the time to wait around 🥺

I have had many piercings from SkinKandy, but after my experience from my most recent piercing I just had to write a review. The lady who came to see me was bubbly, kind, empathetic and just so human! They seemed to genuinely care about their customers, making me feel heard and understood. During my piercing she was so sweet and lovely, making me feel very comfortable like we already were friends. Not to mention she also was top tier EXCELLENT at her job as a piercer. Had amazing insights and recommendations, brilliant advice and aftercare and in general was quick and precise with her piercing technique. She said she normally works at the West Lakes SkinKandy store, but was covering a shift down south where I was. I genuinely want to make the trip to West Lakes for my next piercing just to have another down to Earth piercing like this one. (I think her name was Amelia but I could be wrong) (SORRY IF I GOT YOUR NAME WRONG GIRL) 🙂

Haylee was great! I bought some jewellery this morning and it was my first time changing my piercing over to something else so I was a pretty nervous. But Haylee helped me choose some really cute pieces and helped me to put them in and was super gentle. She made the whole thing super easy and comfortable!

I’ve been to many piercing shops, but this one was by far the friendliest and the most skilled. I don’t know the name of the person who did my piercing, but the service was absolutely outstanding.

I took my 5-year-old daughter here for ear piercing and the experience was extremely disappointing. The piercings are visibly uneven one is significantly higher than the other. This is not a subtle difference. It is clearly misaligned. For something permanent on a child, accuracy should be the bare minimum. On top of that, the customer service was poor. We were told they could get us "right in," yet we were left waiting with no communication while they continued to serve other walk-in customers. My daughter is five. She was nervous to begin with, and the lack of communication and extended wait only made her more upset and unsettled before the procedure. We are now going to have to remove the piercings, allow them heal, and have them redone. After this experience, she may not even want to go through it again. What should have been a special moment has instead been upsetting and unnecessary. Very disappointing overall.
