Base 9 Tattoos

I had the best experience at Base 9 tattoos with the lovely Camila - who goes by Guaricha, a word which she is trying to reclaim the traditional meaning of, warrior women! I was only briefly visiting Melbourne, with no prior booking. Their service was amazing and I was booked in the next day with Camila! The atmosphere was so relaxed, with a hint of unique grunge and vibey music. All of the artists were so friendly and attentive. I’ve only had my tattoo for a few days and I’ve been overwhelmed with all the compliments. Even those who dislike tattoos, called Camilla’s work a ‘piece of art’. Although I’m not from Melbourne, I think I’ve found my new go to artist. Absolutely worth the trip to see Camila, check her and the studio out!

Extremely unprofessional and quite honestly a total embarrassing disgrace for an establishment to employ someone who openly calls for and advocates for the assassination of a sitting President no matter your political disposition. In today’s climate, this is incredibly reckless behavior that should be condemned and acted upon. No one should be financially supporting an establishment that is unwilling to publicly condemn the hateful rhetoric and remarks made by one of the individuals who represents their business openly on their socials while making such disgusting statements to assasinate and

Above and beyond. First time ink and a bit nervous/ unsure about the process of getting some work done but couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Pabz (the owner) responded quickly and recommended an artist to fit my need. Jenn did a phenomenal job in both the artwork and making sure I was comfortable. Healed perfectly and I’m in awe of the level detail she achieved. Will absolutely be back whenever the next ink itch arises. Thanks a lot! 😊

After having my tattoo appointment booked at another studio cancelled at the last minute, a friend told me to contact Base 9 which I did and was told by Jae to come down straight away and he would fit me in, I could not have been happier in the end that the original booking was cancelled because I'll never go elsewhere now. Jae was so friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble his priority was my comfort and that I was 100 % happy, he put so much extra time, effort and care into making sure the designs were perfect. I highly recommend Jae and Base 9 tattoos, exceptional service, studio and value I will definitely be back.

1st visit yesterday and felt very comfortable in welcoming good atmosphere studio, nice artists and great experience with Jae who took his time to do a great job

I have spent countless hours being tattooed by Pabz and Laura who are amazing tattooists that have turned my body into a piece of art. They take pride in their work and also make sure that you feel comfortable and provide you with interesting, deep and funny conversation (or headphones if you wan to zone out). The whole shop has great energy that you can feel as soon as you walk in the door. All the tattooists are very friendly and welcoming. My favourite part of the day is the end where you get to see all the amazing tattoos that all the artists have done and how happy everyone is. Pabz is a great tattooist, life counselor, comedian and friend. I highly recommend BASE 9.

So absolutely stoked with the whole experience. Awesome tattoo great friendly vibe clean hygienic. Most of all made to feel at easy with the whole process. Already booked in next tattoo big thank you to Pabs.
