Jem Mcpherson Tattoo

Jem is wonderful. I've always felt very welcome, and had a positive experience whenever getting tattooed by him. He is extremely talented, encouraging of all ideas and very quick to respond to any questions/queries you throw his way. I would 100% recommend getting in touch with him for your next tattoo.

Tattooist Jem is a genuine, caring and honest guy. He communicates extremely well, listens to your desires and implements your ideas beautifully. He tattoos without ego which i’ve not experienced before. In the past I've had tattooists dictate to me what i’m getting tattooed, which hasn’t ended well and taken away from the piece that i wanted. Jem takes into consideration all of your concerns and ideas and works WITH you to make it a dream piece. Below are 2 originals from jem ( Arrow and Octopus ) and the third is a piece that he fixed by using some wicked shading and chroming to fix and re-imagine another tattooists mistakes. I cant thank him enough and cant wait for our next session!

Jem did my first ever tattoos back in 2021, and his talent is what got me hooked! I’ve had several pieces done by him over the years and every single one has been done with the utmost professionalism. He has a keen eye for the perfect placement, and is very skilled with his line work. If you’re into neo-trad or occult-themed tattoos, you simply cannot bypass Jem (he’s also wicked at a bunch of other styles)!!

If you are after a tattoo artist, Jem is the bloke to go to. He is very professional and kind. Jem ensures you are happy with the design before he begins the tattoo process. First pic is 3years old and the second is 2.5years old. Colour and detail are still fantastic. I still love seeing them. The healing process was simple. My husband and I both are happy with his work and will be returning again. Out of the 3 tattoo artists I’ve been to, he is my top choice and will travel from Far North Queensland to visit.

I was recommended Jem by my niece. During the initial consult he was attentive and understanding of my concept. He drew up the final product and it covered my regret perfectly. The end result was amazing and he nailed my vision perfectly. Highly recommend!!

Jem is an amazing artist to work with! He is so easy to talk to and goes into depth with the consultation to make sure you are getting exactly what you imagined. At the session, he is easy to talk to and takes the time to get to know you and make you feel comfortable during your session. I went to Jem when he was still in Rosewood, and he did 2 of my tattoos. The first was a memorial piece for my grandparents since they have all passed away now. He worked with me to get an element for each of them together, while still having the option to add further elements if I decided to. A beautiful, coloured neo-trad piece on my thigh; it has received numerous compliments and my family think it's a lovely tribute. A couple months later, I went back and we started my Persephone and Hades piece on my left calf. We did it over 2 sessions, which I was grateful for. I have a bad back so lying in one position for a full day is not ideal. Anyway, I absolutely love the piece; black and white neo-trad, with just a few pops of colour. I can't wait to get Hecate on the other side, and I'd love to get Jem to do it. That may be a while away yet but I'm very excited. Jem is a lovely guy, good to talk to and easy to work with. Absolutely will get around to going to him at the new studio!
