The Joy of Ink Tattoo Studio

It has been a day less 12 months since I got these tattoos at Joy Of Ink and I absolutely love Joy’s work and understanding of what design I wanted. Joy worked and discussed options with me, guiding me on what would be best in colours and art where I was unsure and indecisive but had my ideas. These represent my dad, inked on ANZAC DAY in memory of him, my husband’s name, though often people suggest you don’t get your partner’s name on you; but when you know, you KNOW … and of my heart dog Atticus, where the purple heart is the reflection of canine epilepsy. The AtTI is the chemical symbol for titanium, from which he was made! The arrows of eternity embrace these designs and the previous arrow firing straight was also tattooed here in 2017! It means when life pulls you back, you’ll be pulled back and lurch into positivity. I will be back to get more work done. I love the care, knowledge, professionalism, comfort and hygiene of Joy Of Ink studio. And the colours, longevity and vibrancy continue. The care preceding and compassion to my fear of needles and the advice for healing were next level too. Thank you JOY 🤩

Thank you so very much to Mariya for taking care of me for my first tattoo! All the nerves I felt, immediately disappeared the moment I stepped into the studio. The thought of having my late cats’ paw print & name etched into my skin has been a long, emotional experience for me which did end in happy tears at seeing the final result! Will def be back, think I’ve been bitten now 🙂

I had a tattoo done with Rose a while ago, she was amazing ,I met with Rose a couple of days before my appointment, to go over the drawing I wanted done. Rose was so attentive and passionate about my thoughts. I had a large eucalyptus branch with flowers and a honey bee. I had a full day with Rose and felt so relaxed ,I nearly went to sleep. Rose was so professional, I totally trusted her, artistic talent, attention to detail , and confidence with what I had explained to her what I wanted. Rose is an exceptionally talented woman and I have absolutely no hesitation to recommend her to anyone who wants a tattoo. I just had my second Tattoo after 7 years done by Joy. What an absolute great artist. Thanks Joy for an amazing experience on Saturday. I will be back to add the final joining piece.

Mariya created the most special piece of art for me, weaving together the flowers of my grandmother's names, a Poppy that honours my grandfather and the strong bond my son shares with his own Poppy. The Frangipanis that bloom in my mum's backyard and the sunflower. I love how we positioned these flowers as symbols of growth, like veins flowing through my story. She created a beautiful fine line tattoo narrative of family, memory, and personal growth 💕 Edited - grateful, 2 months on and I looked down and couldn't love anything more 💓
